Lowestoft - sexual assault appeal

Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault in Lowestoft.

The incident is reported to have taken place around 11pm on Wednesday 8 April on the beach, near the East Point Pavilion off Marine Parade.

A woman aged in her 20s reported that she was walking along the beach when a man approached her and offered her a hug. He is said to have intentionally touched her breasts and bottom over clothing, before attempting to kiss her.

He is described as white, approximately 5ft 8ins in height, of skinny build and was wearing jeans, a jacket and a beige baseball cap. He is believed to have left the scene on a bicycle.
